Cheer in the Holidays at the Cornelia Arts Building December Open Studios
With the completion of a multi-years long remodel, the 38 year old Cornelia Arts Building, at 1800 West Cornelia Ave, Chicago IL, opens its doors to the public on Fri. Dec. 6, from 6 - 10 pm, and on Sat. Dec. 7, from 11 am - 3 pm. 
 
Visitors can meet talented artists and artisans in person, experience their art practices up close, and purchase art and crafts directly from their makers. Explore two full-floors of working art studios at one of the largest artist studio buildings on Chicago’s North side, and find the unique gifts perfect for your loved ones and for yourself.
 
Held only four times a year, the open house events showcase a fresh mix of artists each time, with over 40 artists participating in December. One hundred local artists and artisans work in the building, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, designers, and much more. 
Join Jason Messinger in Studio 109, presenting his signature tile wall artworks, sculpture, works on paper, and inexpensive gifts, and enjoy his signature white wine sangria.
 
"Pop Up Party" - Guest lobby artist Dan Nelson
December’s special juried front lobby guest artist is Dan Nelson, who paints stories and moments in time using color and humor, depicting a joyful and inclusive world of people and pets. 
With one-of-a-kind artwork and gifts, and the unique studio settings, the December Open House offers something for the whole family.Established in 1986 in a former ice-house, the Cornelia Arts Building is located at 1800 West Cornelia, at the border of three distinct Chicago Neighborhoods; Roscoe Village, West Lakeview, and North Center. Located close to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line CTA stop, the building has a free parking lot and street parking nearby. Open Studio Event is free and open to the public.

Cornelia Arts Building October Open Studios Turns A New Leaf

With the completion of a multi-years long remodel, the 38 year old Cornelia Arts Building, at 1800 West Cornelia Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, opens its doors to the public on Friday October 18, from 6 - 10 pm, and on Saturday October 19, from 11 am - 3 pm
Visitors can explore two full-floors of working art studios at one of the largest artist studio buildings on Chicago’s North side, and meet many of the talented artists and artisans in person, experience their art practices up close, and even purchase art and crafts directly from their makers.
Held only four times a year, the open studios events showcase a fresh mix of artists each time, with over thirty-eight artists participating in October. Over ninety local artists and artisans work in the building, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, designers, and much more.

Currently over 90 local artists and artisans work here, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, designers, and much more. The juried front lobby guest artist is Lucia Nieto, sharing intensely detailed patterned drawings with a unique vision.

On Friday March 22nd, from 6 - 10 pm, and on Saturday March 23rd, from 11 am - 3 pm, the Cornelia Arts Building at 1800 West Cornelia Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, opens its doors for visitors to meet talented artists and artisans in person, explore their art practices up close, and purchase art and crafts directly from their makers.
