A Cornucopia of Art at the Cornelia Arts Building October Open Studios

Cornelia Art Building October Open Studios offers a veritable
cornucopia of original artwork on Friday October 20th, from 6 - 10 pm,
and Saturday October 21st, from 11 am - 3 pm. Find art and gifts sold
directly from the creators who made them. Shop and mingle with fellow
art lovers and artists in this newly renovated working studio building,
located at 1800 West Cornelia Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.

over 85 local artists and artisans work here, including painters,
sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, and
much more. The guest front lobby artist is Russell Muits, showcasing his unique relief prints cast from street maintenance hole covers from around the country and the world. |

Building
on nearly four decades of fostering creativity, the venue nears
completion on a multi-year remodeling effort, with double the studios
and artists, and more art than ever before. Visitors can meet talented
artists and artisans in person, explore their art practices up close,
and purchase artwork and hand-made crafts from their creators.

Established
in 1986 in a former ice-house, the Cornelia Arts Building is located at
1800 West Cornelia, at the border of three distinct Chicago
Neighborhoods; Lakeview, Roscoe Village, and North Center. Located close
to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown
Line CTA stop, the building has a free parking lot and street parking
nearby. Events are free and open to the public.
