Cornelia Arts Building 
May Open Studios
See work by talented local artist and artisans at one of the largest artist studio building on Chicago’s North side. On Friday May 9th, from 6 - 10 pm, and on Saturday May 10th, from 11 am - 3 pm, the Cornelia Arts Building at 1800 West Cornelia Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, opens its doors to the public. Visit two floors of over two dozen working art studios to shop art and crafts directly from their makers.
Over 100 artists and artisans work in the building, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, designers, and much more. The front lobby guest artist is Beatriz E. Ledesma, showcasing her ink, graphite and mixed media drawing series “Bird’s Song Series.” With one-of-a-kind artwork and special artisan-made gifts, the event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.

Join Jason Messinger in Studio 109 where he showcases his signature ceramic tile murals, flowing ceramic sculptures, patterned drawings and paintings on paper, and artist-made gifts and books. 
The art center was established in 1986 in a former ice-house, and has fostered creativity in Chicago ever since. The Cornelia Arts Building is located at 1800 West Cornelia, at the border of three distinct Chicago Neighborhoods; Roscoe Village, Lakeview, and North Center. Located close to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line CTA stop, the building has a free parking lot and street parking nearby. Events are free and open to the public.

Warm Up With Art at the 
Cornelia Arts Building 
March Open Studios
Shake off the winter blahs with the bright warm art at one the largest artist studio buildings on Chicago’s North side. On Friday March 21st, from 6 - 10 pm, and on Saturday March 22nd, from 11 am - 3 pm, the Cornelia Arts Building at 1800 West Cornelia Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, opens its doors to the public to meet talented artists and artisans in person, explore their art practices up close, and purchase art and crafts directly from their makers. Visit two full-floors of over two dozen working art studios open for this event.
Over 100 artists and artisans work in the building, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, designers, and much more. For the March Open House, the front lobby showcases “Figuring It Out“ a group show of figurative artwork. The event also presents a group show of landscape artwork by the “Urban Sketching” group.
