Jason Messinger is moving his art studio in the Cornelia Arts Building downstairs to the first floor. Take this opportunity to visit him at his current studio #204 for this special one day event, where all artwork displayed will be available for 25% off the already low studio price!

On display will be paintings and drawings on paper in a large variety of sizes, as well as a large presentation of his signature hand made ceramic wall tile murals.

Where Art Works: Artist Communities and Creative Placemaking 

Jason Messinger and another fifteen artists whose studios are located at the Cornelia Arts Building in Roscoe Village will participate in a group exhibition at Eat Paint Studio, December 17, 2021 - January 22, 2022. “Where art works,” alludes to the fact that although an artist’s studio practice is unseen, creative work is an integral part of Chicago’s vibrant neighborhoods and our local economy.

 
An opening reception will take place on Friday, December 17, from 6 - 9 PM.  Eat Paint Studio is located at 5036 N Lincoln Ave in the Lincoln Avenue North Arts District (LANA), close to public transportation and metered parking.

Jason and Judy - Two Studio Open House, Fri Nov 13, 11am-3pm

Jason Messinger and Judy Lichtenstein host an open studios event this Saturday November 13, from 11 am to 3pm, at the Cornelia Arts Building, Second Floor, 1800 West Cornelia, Chicago IL.

Jason Messinger in studio #204 will be showcasing his signature tile murals, ceramic sculptures, paintings and drawings on paper, and small gift items sure to please every shopper's budget. Find great discounts on many pieces.

In addition Jason will be showing a brand new suite of small portraits by Joey Wozniak, and small wood block icon collages by Kass Copeland, all works priced for the holiday season.

Judy Lichtenstein in Studio #203 offers mittens, kids hats, onesies, kids shirts, women’s hoodies, kid scarves, burnout velvet scarves, Valentine tee shirts, T-shirts, woman’s coats, yoga shirts, Xmas stockings, and baby blankets, all at reduced prices in preparation for a studio move.

One day only!  

Masks are required (over nose and mouth) by everyone at all times throughout the building.    

Located close to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line CTA stop, the building also has free parking available in parking lot out front, and on neighborhood streets nearby. Event is free and open to the public.

On Friday November 5th, 2021, from 6 to 10 pm, artists of The Cornelia Art Building, located at 1800 West Cornelia Ave. in Chicago, invite the public to their first and only open house of the year. After an 18 month hiatus, the artists are pleased to finally host an open house again. 

"Urban Sentinels" by Jason Messinger

Visit one of the largest all-artist buildings on Chicago’s North side, and experience two-full floors of working art studios. The building has undergone the first stage of extensive remodeling, and has welcomed many new artists into the building. With one-of-a-kind artwork and special artisan-made gifts by the building artists, the event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.

Established in 1986 in a former ice-house, the Cornelia Arts Building is located at 1800 West Cornelia, at the border of three distinct Chicago Neighborhoods; Lakeview, Roscoe Village, and North Center. Located close to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line CTA stop, the building also has free parking available in parking lot out front, and on neighborhood streets nearby. Event is free and open to the public.

Proof of vaccination may be requested. 
No food or drink will be offered in studios.
