Warm Up With Art at the
Cornelia Arts Building
March Open Studios

Over 100 artists and artisans work in the building, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelers, designers, and much more. For the March Open House, the front lobby showcases “Figuring It Out“ a group show of figurative artwork. The event also presents a group show of landscape artwork by the “Urban Sketching” group.

Join artist Jason Messinger in Studio 109, where he presents his signature ceramic tile murals, fluid sculptures, and patterned drawings and paintings on paper, as well as small gifts and books. With one-of-a-kind artwork and special artisan-made gifts by the building artists, the event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.
The art center was established in 1986 in a former ice-house, and has fostered creativity in Chicago ever since. The Cornelia Arts Building is located at 1800 West Cornelia, at the border of three distinct Chicago Neighborhoods; Roscoe Village, Lakeview, and North Center.
