Coinciding with the Ravenwood Art Walk, the Cornelia Arts Building will host its 24th annual October Open House, featuring the artwork of over 30 artists and artisans in their working art studios.

Illinois Artisans Shop,

To celebrate Chicago Artists Month 2010, the Illinois Artisans Program presents: “Urban Imagery,” a discussion of the translation of the city into art. For the month of October the Illinois Artisans Shop will highlight work across a range of media that pulls from and is inspired by the urban landscape and language.

October 7^th from 1:00-2:00 pm artists Patrick Miceli, Scott Kiefer, and Jason Messinger will be in the gallery to discussion their work and art practice. The Illinois Artisans Shop is located on the second floor of the Thompson Center and is a nonprofit gallery store run through the State Museum of Illinois. (Hint: Take escalator up to avoid Building Security!)
