On Friday November 5th, 2021, from 6 to 10 pm, artists of The Cornelia Art Building, located at 1800 West Cornelia Ave. in Chicago, invite the public to their first and only open house of the year. After an 18 month hiatus, the artists are pleased to finally host an open house again.

Visit one of the largest all-artist buildings on
Chicago’s North side, and experience two-full floors of working art
studios. The building has undergone the first stage of extensive
remodeling, and has welcomed many new artists into the building. With
one-of-a-kind artwork and special artisan-made gifts by the building
artists, the event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.

Jason Messinger in studio #204 will be showcasing his signature tile murals, ceramic sculptures, paintings and drawings on paper, and small gift items sure to please every shopper's budget. Find great discounts on many pieces.

For thirty-five years this artist incubator space has provided Chicago artists with professional studio spaces to pursue their passion. Over fifty local artists and artisans work here, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelry designers, textile artisans, and much more.

Established
in 1986 in a former ice-house, the Cornelia Arts Building is located at
1800 West Cornelia, at the border of three distinct Chicago
Neighborhoods; Lakeview, Roscoe Village, and North Center. Located close
to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown
Line CTA stop, the building also has free parking available in parking
lot out front, and on neighborhood streets nearby. Event is free and
open to the public.
